I have 30 years experience of uncrewed & crewed aircraft engineering, design, ground & flight test, certification, safe operations and project management. In all tasks I am focussed on the specification, design, development, testing, approval & delivery of effective, safe and efficient solutions. I am motivated to design and deliver technical solutions that satisfy customer’s requirements and comply with relevant design & operational safety requirements & regulations. I am happy to work alone and in teams as tasks require. My primary objective is to help leaders and managers ensure projects are deliverable and delivered. For a variety of tasks:

from engineering and design to test & evaluation and certification;
from requirements analysis & conceptual design through initial & detailed design, prototyping, ground test and first flight to deployment;
for both civil & military;
for piston, turboprop, jet & electric propulsion;
for both crewed & uncrewed aircraft.

I graduated from the University of London with a BEng (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering and from Cranfield University College of Aeronautics with a MSc in Aircraft Engineering. I am a full member of the UK Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS), and I am professionally recognised by the Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and by Engineers Europe as European Engineer (EUR ING).

I have used recognised techniques & software tools such as Matlab, MathCAD, CFD, Catia CAD, FEA, Enterprise Architect SysML, DOORS Requirements Management, Microsoft Projects, design and operations safety assessment & PTC PLM, and also ESDU data sheets and software. I have also lead engagement with the relevant regulators to propose, discuss and agree the design certification basis and regime to be applied to a project.
