Airborne Insights has experience of using drones since 2018 to improve business efficiency, effectiveness and safety. The drone operators and remote pilots are trained, qualified, authorised and fully insured to operate drones safely in UK airspace in accordance with UK Civil Aviation Authority requirements. A number of DJI drones of different sizes and capabilities can be deployed depending on the needs of the task. We have the computer hardware and software tools required for the intensive processing of image, video & laser scan data into digital 2D maps and 3D models.
Airborne Insights works with property asset owners (land, building, business & other property), property developers, architects, surveyors, business operators and facility managers.
Airborne Insights has affiliations with a number of other drone inspection and survey businesses, and is able to increase its staffing levels to provide the capacity for completing larger and more complicated tasks.
Airborne Insights works with users of drone-derived inspection & survey data, other drone operators and aerospace manufacturers throughout the UK, Europe & the USA.
Airborne Insights is a UK CAA PDRA01 (Pre-defined Risk Assessment 01) authorised operator of drones below 25kg flying within 150m of residential, commercial, industrial, or recreational areas. Kieron Parnell
Successful, knowledgeable, skilled, qualified, experienced, accredited & authorised UAS remote pilot/operator and professional Aerospace Engineer
Kieron is the lead pilot and the CAA Operator nominated Accountable Manager for Airborne Insights. He has been personally operating, and managing teams operating, a variety of drones since 2018, as well as building & flying remote control (RC) model rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft of various sizes since the late 1990s. He is an operator trained in accordance with UK CAA requirements, holds the A2 CoC & GVC flying/operating qualifications and .
Kieron's Flyer Id is GBR-RP-L7NHSFPXN43G.
Kieron also has over 30 years experience in aerospace roles, including with engineering, design and operation of uncrewed UAVs & drones and crewed military & civil aircraft. He has a wealth of aircraft design, development, Test & Evaluation (T&E), safety management and certification experience on UK, European and US military crewed and uncrewed aircraft. He has lead T&E and ground & flight test projects, demonstrating compliance with the relevant design safety certification specifications. He has also engineered, designed and tested prototype & production drone systems for supply chain order delivery, stock checking & racking inspection, including within the warehouse environment and in the UK & European airspace systems.
